On the day of Dhanteras, wake up early in the morning and wear clean clothes after taking a bath. After this, clean the temple. Offer water to the Sun God. Place the idols of Maa Lakshmi, Lord Dhanvantari and Kuber Ji on the pedestal. Light a lamp and apply sandalwood tilak. After this, perform aarti. Also worship Lord Ganesha. Chant Kuber Ji's mantra Om Hreem Kuberay Namah 108 times and recite Dhanvantari Stotra. After this, offer sweets and fruits and other things. Donate according to your faith. It is a religious belief that doing so creates the possibility of financial gain and the person gets rid of financial crisis.
